MattyG2012
MattyG2012 is an active player of EarthMC. He first appeared May 8th, 2019 and has intermittently appeared for each Map after and including Nova. He owns the nation of Avalon (Nova), and the town of Dildo (Nova), both inherited from the previous ruler, Riley_McDonut on September 27th, 2020. Additionally, along with many Avalonian/Acadian allies, Matty contributed to the founding of Aurora's Meganation Gold Coast, even owning a town briefly. After a long hiatus, Matty returned to the server for the following EarthMC map, Terra Nostra. He currently resides in Saint_John in the nation Acadia.

Nova
Beginnings (May 8, 2019 - June 20, 2019)
On May 8th, 2019, MattyG2012 spawned in Africa near Dakar, Senegal. Matty had initially discovered EarthMC through the infamous, and now archaic, ibxtoycat video "Walking From Russia to America... in Minecraft?", thus labeling him a "toyfag". As most did, he immediately made his way to pee_pee_island in Newfoundland, Canada to observe if the town really existed. On that same day, he was able to join thanks to Dabs_All_OvarYT granting residency. He immediately began work, creating his own abode and expanding the land of PPI (pee_pee_island). Matty was ultimately dissatisfied with his "toyfag" label; he aspired to break free of stereotypical YouTube loyalist behavior, and committed himself to remaining active and loyal to PPI's, and eventually Avalon's, growth. In turn, Matty had some part in the creation of Avalon since he was arguably the most active player during this time. He was one of many to support the movement of Newfoundland's capital to Dildo, and assisted Riley and Dabs with the creation of Avalon, even providing the name.
Avalon Golden Age (June 20, 2019 - December 3, 2019)
Matty would continue to be great help during the "Avalon Golden Age". Despite not being as populated as later months, this period had the greatest amount of active players in Avalon's history. During this time Matty would start many projects, including the Avalon Spade (a national monument in Dildo), Bank of Avalon SuperCenter, Avazon Headquarters, and some map art creations. On June 26th, Matty would be the first one to raid the recently fallen town of "Town of Salem". Matty was also one of the first followers of Pissism, alongside with Dabs and Riley. He assisted with identifying the name of the celestial being, the BallGod, which helped Dabs against the Bactrian Griefers. Matty has also had some incidents on the server, both involving when his items were stolen. The first incident, dubbed "The Greenland Crisis", occured in Arsefacey after Matty accidentally died by fall damage. A user, Baptiste1006, stole several of his items, and fled to his settlement in Greenland. Matty, ThatNerdNxtDoor, and Tobocoolman2000 traveled thousands of blocks to either slaughter Baptiste, or retrieve his items somehow. Thankfully, they chose the latter and bargained with one of his townmates and were able to get his items retrieved.
Through the month of August, Matty would be hard at work with balancing different projects, though most of them wouldn't be finished for a while. August was a very uneventful month for Avalon and Matty; however, the same cannot be said for September.
Matty was present for Avalon's induction in the First Canadian Union, serving as a key advisor of the transition. Additionally, Newfoundland, a once great rival of Avalon, was loosing it's captial city due to inactivity. Along with fellow Avalonians, Matty contributed to a raid of the ruins, only being able to earn petty rewards, unfortunately. The nation still survived, its capital instead moving to a remaining town on mainland Newfoundland.
For the rest of Fall, Matty would continue to work on Avalon build projects, and involve himself lightly within the Canadian Union; however, the increased political pressure was beginning to take a noticeable toll on Matty's enjoyment of the server. The days of memes and simple build projects would seem small in scope, as Avalon reared for cultural prominence.
Intermittent Activity (December 4, 2019 - September 26, 2020)
During this period, Avalon would continue to grow its influence and continue to have many political stunts; however, Matty was not involved much during this time, as burnout and academic pressure consumed his life. Additionally, the global COVID-19 pandemic also gave an opportunity for Matty to take his home life and friendships more seriously. This resulted in a short number of days where Matty would log and contribute to PPI and increasingly longer hiatuses. It is believed he had even lost citizenship at some points from inactivity, though this cannot be confirmed. Despite this lack of consistency, some of Matty's previous projects would be completed, such as the Bank of Avalon SuperCenter.
Avalon also began it's decline to irrelevancy. Despite some drama in the early half of the year, active players like Dabs_All_OvarYT and Riley_McDonut became nearly, if not more, inactive than Matty. Other Canadian nations like Imperial Quebec and Acadia were also beginning to take shape, a contrast from Avalon's influence. The nation became a legend at this period; less and less global news from Avalon was breaking.
As the summer approached it's end, Matty once again committed himself to the server. He departed his early residency of PPI and joined Dildo as a councilor. He would resume both the Avalon Spade, and general cleanup projects around Dildo. During this time, Matty familiarized himself well with Dildo enough to practically "run the show" in Riley's de facto leadership, a quality which would become much needed very soon.
Return & Avalon Ownership (September 27, 2020 - December 2021)
On September 27th, Dildo was at risk of ruin. Riley_McDonut had been inactive and was nearing the town disbandment limit (42 days since last log). Thankfully, Matty was able to successfully contact and warn Riley to log before it was too late. After escaping disaster, both parties became fed up with the reoccurring disbandment close calls. At this, Matty pitched the idea of him succeeding Riley as both Mayor of Dildo and Owner of Avalon, in order to free Riley of his commitment to keeping the nation alive. Riley showed no hesitation and welcomed the change, having been tired of the continuous pressure of maintaining a nation he no longer cared about (at this time). On that evening, ownership was officially transferred to Matty, making him officially Lord of Avalon MattyG2012. This decision would become known as the Avalon Leaderswap.
Progress did not begin immediately. For the next quarter year, only personal projects would be completed.
