Before the nation of Cascadia was founded, there was the town of Astoria. Founded in the Beginning era, on November 26th, it is the oldest surviving town in the Pacific Northwest. Although Cascadia did not exist in the first few weeks, the idea was already conceptualized. The founders envisioned the birth of a democratic nation that would unite the region. Thus sparked the creation of Cascadia.

Cascadia was a four-way creation between the players RangerMK01, Banthos, Kathulos, and Think Geek. Because the cost of nations was cheaper during the inception of the server, it took only a short while to acquire the materials. After a few days of raising funds for the nation, its founding members had enough to create Cascadia.

The capital was initially intended to be Olympia, but Banthos, the mayor, was accidentally banned after he was falsely accused of doxxing. And so, the nation of Cascadia was founded on the 11th of December, 2018, by RangerMK01, with its capital in Astoria.

The newly made nation needed a discord server, and one was created. The first message was by Morthalis, at 09:15 PM, Dec 11th, "Long live Cascadia!". The discord quickly grew, including the mayors of the towns, as well as the other national leaders.

''Growth of Cascadia''

Other nations such as California, which had been founded the month before, dominated the area South of the nation. After a few days, however, it became apparent Cascadia was outpacing its neighbor California, to the dismay of No_Jewtsu, the leader of the nation. California suffered its own issues that month, with the succession and break-away of nations such as Arizona, and the towns of Lompoc and San Diego as well.

In a video by Minecraft YouTuber SalC1 published on the 14th of February, he traveled to Astoria to inflate the economy by duplicating and distributing gold while using an invisibility potion. On the 9th of August, 2019, a riot broke out in New York, which at that time was a member district of Cascadia. Owners of plots in highly trafficked areas of New York enabled PVP and began a killing spree which led to the deaths of many players who showed up to participate in the New York riot, which later came to be known as the "Second New York Riot". The crowds later dispersed and the riot came to an end.

On 11 August, two days following the Second New York Riot on the 9th, the users involved in the mass killings in New York were identified as Captainb4 and Unbated. A trial was held in the Supreme Court of Cascadia (''Cascadia v ''[[File:New York Riot - EarthMC|left|thumb|400x400px]]''Unbated and Captainb4)''. The court found both of these players guilty of murder and inciting violence and both were required to pay a fine to the state as instigators. The trial was presided over by 32Oreo.

After 2 days of a tense standoff between the two sides, the breakaway "empire" sect stood down and returned control of Cascadia to those loyal to the republican government.

After being given a second term by the majority of citizens, BonZZil aimed to revive Cascadia from its state of inactivity after the August Crisis. During October, Cascadia slowly started regaining activity and reviving, taking in several new towns.

On the 4th of October, the towny plugin had a glitch where several nations were accidentally disbanded. The cause of it is unknown, but it would disband a nation whenever a single person left or was kicked from the capital town. Cascadia was hit first, along with Florida and South Australia.

After the Summer of 2019, the province of Alaska was falling into inactivity. There were offers to integrate it into Kodiak, which was prospering much more. Alaska collapsed as a province in late 2019, with Incarnation__ leaving altogether.

On the 31st of October, RangerMK01 returned to Cascadia to help with the nation as it was suffering major inactivity and collapse. Some major changes were made to the discord, such as the deletion of the Secretary of Recruitment role, removal of the district general channels, and the remaking of the senate proposals channel.

Unbated came into the presidency with the aim of restoring Cascadia to its former glory. On the 12th, Dictio went through his probation period and became senator of Amarok. The town of Sugarcane also joined on the 15th.

On the 22nd of November, 32Oreo announced some plans for the interim presidency, such as establishing Astoria as a proper federal city, ensuring an effective balance between the Mayor and the President, expanding usage of the National Bank of Cascadia building, returning national gold reserve to the towny banks, fixing road signs in the Astoria area, re-organizing district structure such that it is easier to understand the structure of Cascadia as a whole, granting Bhutan status as "Overseas Territory" with the consent of the Senate, going over Astoria's main shop street and gutting any inactive shops, commission houses for Astoria's residential district, finding an effective way to get feedback from the frontier towns to know what they need, creating a non-departmental committee for Parks & Recreation, finishing the National defence Department headquarters facility, recognizing GGOVI & Yaznayu as enemies of the state, and maybe making in-game books effort to document Cascadia.

During November, Cascadia underwent a small population boom as Senator and Mayor Estonian_Mapping started the mass recruitment of players into Port Angeles, bringing in many new players, and inviting her friends onto the server. LawofRence and thebigjeff2111, who both knew Estonian_Mapping, joined the server too. This led to Port Angeles becoming the largest Cascadian town, with metropolis status and 42 members at its height.

On the 16th of November, Unbated announced that he was replacing BonZzil, who was vice president. He declared that the vice president was no longer fit for office as he had broken the law and restricting Unbated from performing his duties as president. The new vice president was 32Oreo.

The Town of Mt. Rainier, owned by thegamingsquirel, joined Cascadia on the 28th of November, and slowly grew in size. It was reluctant to join the nation at first but Estonian_Mapping an Spleenbeaned convinced them to. Mt. Rainier would remain part of Cascadia until it created the Pacific Republic.

On the 21st Barbay1 declared that Cascadia's Department of Development would need to have a meeting on the issue of roads of highways and roads, and then do a presentation to the Cascadians on the state of the methods of transport. She also stated that Cascadia needed to write down Cascadian road requirements, like what material and what height, so that citizens know how to correctly build them.

After Barbay1 won the December Presidential election, she began promoting the use of international highways, completed some townhomes, started animal farms, and encouraged events such as the World Expo. Shop policies were also renewed. In tandem with the new plans, the new government was intended to be more transparent than its predecessors. On the 5th of December, 32Oreo resigned as Secretary of defence, being replaced by Estonian_Mapping, who quickly began transforming and upgrading the Cascadian Military. On the 6th, Barbay1 replaced KingBerman with BonZzil, as KingBerman was no longer in the nation.

On the 6th of December, 32Oreo had the nation of Athabasca transferred to him in hopes of increasing the overall productivity of the nation. The district of Athabasca was dissolved as a district of Cascadia, and 32Oreo made a deal with Rudolf_Hoess, which stipulates that if he is to become active on EMC again, he shall have the nation transferred to him and the district restored.

As a result of all this, 32Oreo declared the founding of the Kingdom of Haida as a sovereign and independent nation as a member of the Pacific Commonwealth. 32Oreo stated that "this is not a fuck you to Cascadia". Haida would remain independent until February.

To celebrate the founding of Cascadia, a celebration was decided to be held on the 14th of December. Fireworks, Banners, and even a Flea Market was prepared. Dispensers and other Redstone contraptions were made for the fireworks, and Christmas ornaments decorated the capital building. A festive spirit hung about Astoria. Barbay1 set up a secret Santa event, where citizens would give anonymous gifts to other citizens using hoppers.

On the 13th, Rupert Land's citizens 754 and 268 raided the Cascadian Capital of Astoria. Members of the Cascadian Military such as durablecandy, Spleenbeaned, and thegamingsquirel were present. The Rupert's Land citizens used flame bows, but President Barbay1 put up emergency showers around the capital. The battle ended with at least one Cascadian casualty.

On the 14th, several attacks were carried out by Rupert's Land's military, in order to sabotage Republic Day. A minor skirmish was fought at 8:45 PM, PST. 754, leader of Rupert's Land, harassed and threatened Autumnshire, including using melee and explosives to kill three Cascadian Citizens. After Iron City and Cascadian Reinforcements arrived, 754 retreated, technically resulting in a victory, although the final death count stood at 3-0, with Rupert's Land taking no casualties.

At 9:40 PM PST, Iron City was attacked in the Battle of Iron City. The Cascadian Military only managed one soldier versus the opposing 7, but many brave soldiers and civilians lent a helping hand. Even with overwhelming odds, Cascadia managed to kill some of the invaders. Cascadians had a harder time reinforcing the walled city, as the ice roads leading to it were either nonexistent or in severe disrepair. Cascadia suffered 2-3 more casualties while inflicting 2 casualties on Rupert’s Land. Even President Barbay1 was spotted on the battlefield. Cascadia scored a hit on Rupert's Land, however, when 754 was killed in the conflict. His god armor was displayed in Iron City.<br />

Another battle took place at Autumnshire later that day, this time with the full force of the Rupert's Land military. There were approximately 10-12 soldiers from Rupert’s Land against approximately 5-7 from Cascadia. Many casualties were reported, mostly on the Cascadian side, but Cascadia held the line, preventing Rupert's Land from getting a firm hold on the city. Rupert's Land eventually retreated, ending the battle.

After proving her ability by reviving Port Angeles and making it the largest town in Cascadia with 42 members, Estonian_Mapping announced that she was running for president on the 3rd of December, 2019. She won by a landslide, beating her opponent UnbentGODFATHER in a decisive victory of 24 to 3.   

In early January, soldiers from Rupert's Land spawned in Cascadia and journeyed to the neighboring town of Port Angeles. These soldiers used lava buckets to set livestock on fire. The town lost many chickens and sheep. A warning was issued by Cascadian President Estonian_Mapping, and no further incidences occurred.

On the 10th of January, Estonian_Mapping made a white peace with Rupert's Land, ending the three-month-long war. This was the result of the Northwestern Syndicate making up fake news, and the leader of Rupert's Land exiting politics. The white peace allowed the construction of roads and infrastructure to continue without attacks from Rupert's Land. On the 13th, the Northwestern Syndicate was disbanded.

During his term, the town of Wenatchee was created on the 11th of January, Oceantopia on the 15th, and Winthrop on the 22nd. The province of Ontario acquired a new town. “PLEASE WELCOME THE TOWN OF NORTHBERRY TO ONTARIO AND CASCADIA” announced Senator Cyberstorm. At the end of his January term, two provinces, Haida and Vanuatu joined Cascadia. Cascadia also constructed several sections of infrastructure, such as Jefferson Square and the Port Angeles/Astoria Ice Line. On the 31st, Estonian_Mapping made the Secretary of Recruitment a cabinet position, with Vorobyevite being the secretary. This would help increase the population of Cascadia.

On the 25th of January, Virginia declared war on Michigan, bringing the American Order into a war with Michigan as well. Although Cascadia saw little to no action against Michigan, Ontario, which borders it, was threatened by the nation.

On the 25th, the Cascadian Military was called to respond to an attack on the town of Northberry and Superior, Ontario. Several citizens from Mortician City, Zerena, raided the iceways between the two cities. 3-4 Ontario citizens were attacked by 2 Zerena soldiers. One of the soldiers, thecactusjarod, lured LawofRence and thebigjeff2111, the two responding Cascadian soldiers called by Governor Cyberstorm. The Zerena soldiers employed TNT warfare and melee criticals to kill the Ontario defenders, and knocking the others into the water, and quickly dispatching them. Eventually, the united Cascadian and Ontario force outnumbered the opposing force, and they were pushed to Northberry, where HelloGaming123 and others were building. The Zerena citizens quickly retreated, using the highways to escape.

==='''February Crisis & Salish-Washington War'''===

Due to growing tensions between the President of Cascadia, Estonian_Mapping, and former President and Governor of Washington, BonZZil, the province of Washington left the Republic of Cascadia to join the Republic of the Rio Grande on February 6, 2020. What followed was a brief moment of anxiety within the state government that Washington would be on the attack. Though the government decided to keep a level head the province of Ontario called for war against the Rio Grande. Their refusal to listen to the state government led to their departure from Cascadia. BonZzil has since claimed that Estonian_Mapping "insisted on making government problems personal" and that he was still loyal to Cascadia, leading him to attack citizens of Salish, which he saw as "lying usurpers" as he said in an EMC Live interview.

On the 7th of February, 2020, Governor Cyberstorm of Ontario declared that he would be passing on his leadership to President Estonian_Mapping, leading to the presidency passing on to Vice President LawofRence. This caused some controversy among senators as the passing on of the Presidency was undemocratic and did not adhere to the Constitution. Eventually, this led to the succession of the Salish Federation.

On the 9th of February, 2020 communications between town leaders were leaked by KingBerman after the controversy of LawofRence's candidacy, and the towns involved seceded from Cascadia to form a new nation, The Salish Federation. The Salish Federation has claimed it was created in response to interference in the Cascadian democratic system by former and foreign members, along with a failure of effective governance within the Presidential administration. They were quickly denounced by the Government as traitors and charged with treason, a charge which was originally intended to be tried by a tribunal. Most of the players that were charged with treason outright refused to participate in a trial, including the highest-ranking leaders of the revolt. The leak led to the Salish Federation seceding in revolt with a total of six active towns and two separate nations, beginning an ongoing conflict to current time that has come to be known as the Salish-Washington War. Shortly afterward, the Cascadian Province of Haida, which had just been re-admitted to Cascadia less than a week earlier, also declared independence in solidarity with the Salish Federation.  

Soon after the secessions of the Salish Federation & Haida, BonZZil, leader of Washington, which had declared independence on its own earlier in the week started attacking Salish, sometimes accompanied by others, most often alone. While there has been no publicly stated motive for the original skirmishes between Salish and Washington, it has been suggested that BonZZil had intentions of expanding Washington into territory now held by the Salish Federation.

The civil war continued to escalate as February came to an end with the first full-blown battle between the armed forces of Salish & Washington occurring on 26 February.

==='''March Turmoil'''===

As the second week of March began, the diplomatic situation of the war became more and more complex, and the newly elected President, unbentGODFATHER made a statement of neutrality, stating that the Republic of Cascadia's government forces would not intervene in the ongoing war.

Unfortunately, on the 18th of March the capital province, Cascadia, lost its Realm status, and reverted to being an Empire. Prominent and populous towns like Port Angeles reverted to village status, as many citizens of Estonian_Mapping's January metropolis, which had 45 residents, were kicked for inactivity. Astoria lost Hack3rmann and other citizens, and it lost its large town status. MPCity, fell altogether, being inactive for several weeks already.

After getting his town griefed, Governor Manoia attempted to move his nation, but accidentally unclaimed his town in the process. He decided to leave and sell British Columbia. Manoia received offers as high as 600 gold, but decided he would rather a Cascadian rule it, so decided on a 128 gold offer from Cascadia, using some of the 500 gold that LawofRence donated previously that day. After this deal was made, Advisor LawofRence was dispatched to govern British Columbia so President UnbentGodfather could return to Astoria. It was then given to Mihailovic on the 7th of April.

UnbentGODFATHER was reelected with a landslide vote, beating the other candidates.

Olympia had remained in a state of inactivity for three months, nearly falling on several occasions. Eventually, the mayor, spleenbeaned, passed mayorship of the town to Estonian_Mapping. She started reviving the town but soon grew tired of it, seeing how it couldn't be expanded and how her recruitment system wouldn't work without things to do, and passed the town to LawofRence. In the last few weeks of April, the town underwent major expansion, becoming the largest town in the region with 25 people.

During the month of April, Salem increased in population from three to ten, becoming one of the largest towns in Cascadia, thanks to the work of durablecandy and lemon_mellow. For the first few weeks of Salem's expansion it was actually in Washington to exploit their claim bonus since Cascadia lost it that month

The town of Eureka underwent lots of growth during the month, with help of the recruitment discord to get more members. Timeline expanded the town by building lots of new buildings, and he also acquired several beacons. At its height, the town had over 15 members and lots of new infrastructure, including an iceway and developed road to Salem.  

After talks with Remcoms, Kaska decided to join Cascadia after Salish showed interest in rejoining. It was reintegrated in between UnbentGODFATHER and KingBerman's terms.

The Province of Haida was re-admitted to Cascadia on the 7th of May, 2020. This was the third time Haida has been admitted as a Province of Cascadia, mostly due to Kaska joining as well as Salish being interested in being a province as well.

After an argument with Cascadian officials on the 9th, Timeline left Cascadia and joined Cascadia with Eureka.

On the 15th of May, the mayor of Olympia, Estonian_Mapping, joined Salish with her town, decreasing the population of the Capital province down to 44 people, and effectively ending Cascadia's recovery from inactivity that month.

After the loss of Olympia, LawofRence, the previous mayor, was not pleased with the mayor, Estonian_Mapping, for disobeying his only request as mayor, which was to keep Olympia in Cascadia. He took the town back and gave it to BigBroPro0425, who rejoined Cascadia. Meanwhile, LawofRence took control of Schaumburg from Beppon, who was giving his town away. Giving control of the town to xBest_Name_Everx, LawofRence then went to Port Angeles and became mayor due to the threat of Port Angeles joining Salish.

LawofRence was elected President of Cascadia at the beginning of June 2020, in a landslide election. Through the duration of the month, Cascadia enjoyed significant levels of stability and expansion, as well as an end to the perception of Cascadia as a dead nation. With lots of effort and time as well as some help from others, he was able to bring Cascadia back onto the world stage. The nation became much more active than before, and with the help of many national projects and people having more time during summer, the Republic entered a prosperous era.

There was some controversy with LawofRence's presidency as he had joined Salish temporarily.

On the 6th of June, 32Oreo was peacefully working around the Portland Area when he was suddenly attacked by a contingent of Rio Grande soldiers, including Cubs_, TheAmazing_Moe, Samisol, and Tony Montana. They explained that it was because of the association 32Oreo had with Salish, and how he still hadn't paid the 100 gold war reparation that was demanded from him. Soon after, the area became a battleground for Rio Grande and Commonwealth soldiers. Several dozen people showed up and LawofRence provide seats for them to watch. The battle caused no damage to the area, and it was good entertainment for those involved. The battle is still memorialized, as the Battle of Portland.  

On the 31st of May, Kaskan governor Remcoms announced that he was leaving EarthMC and gave his town and nation to JB54P. After this, he bombed his shop and /n spawn, then turned on PVP to start a battle. A few days later he asked for the nation back from JB54P, but was refused. Remcoms eventually quit EarthMC, but is planning to return soon.

After a couple months of decline and inactivity LawofRence's goal for the month was to greatly increase Cascadia's activity. He increased Astoria's population from 12 to 60 in a matter of days, as well as finished all of the houses that had been left since Barbay's Presidency. In order to combat the dwindling town list of Cascadia, LawofRence gave out government grants to people during the second part of his term. Some towns that were funded under his government grants were Portland, Grant's Pass, Argos. He also tried to adopt a zero tolerance policy on inactivity but realized he didn't have enough people to replace those he purged. Under LawofRence's presidency Cascadia started returning to regional politics as a powerful nation, and the mistakes made under the previous administrations were patched. With funding from 32Oreo, Astoria claimed two areas of land, greatly expanding there claims.

In the middle of his term, LawofRence decided that he would try and recruit the nation of Montana into the Republic. AIRWOLF678, the leader of Montana, agreed and it joined on the 17th. On the 19th, Oregon asked to join Cascadia, and a proposal was made which passed. Timeline, the leader, was originally part of California which actually gave him 300 gold to make the nation, so had a 300 gold debt.

UghK1, the mayor of Kilton Peak (now Edgewater), had been tired of BonZZil attacking and harassing his citizens because of his association with the Salish Federation. After some discord conversations, he discovered how Salish had formed as a rebellion, and decided he did not want to be part of Salish anymore. Frustrated that his town was being picked on, he got in contact with LawofRence and said he wanted to join another nation, and had set his sights on Cascadia, being the other major power in the region. UghK1 backed out a few times but after a dispute with the Salish government on the 20th he left and joined Cascadia. This was the beginning of a large expansion into the Northeast.

During LawofRence's term, Barbay volunteered to help renovate the capital building. The back section and sides of the building was outfitted with windows and sea lanterns were placed around for lighting. Barbay's worked very hard during the project and it turned out to be very successful. LawofRence helped with the lobby. The interior was renovated as well as the exterior. A giant project was undertaken by LawofRence, the Capital Building Basement, who was building it from March but was distracted by other things. It took at least 36 hours of intense work and dozens of inventories of stone, but it was eventually completed. It features over 30 large rooms, three levels, and underground access to other buildings. Since there was a lack of a central storage area, a giant 18 chunk storage area in the bottom most floor was constructed, which doesn't even render completely because of its size. The basement is so large that several people who visited have gotten lost and trapped.

Aakhof ran in the presidential elections for July and won, becoming the new president. He inherited the nation and continued to make it prosper. During his term, a large amount of provinces were acquired, as well as the creation of new ones.

During the Turkish YouTube Invasion, LawofRence, Dornan_ and RichardM_Nixon participated in the battles around the area. They killed several new player and got some loot, and LawofRence even stole a mule, although it died during transport.  

North_Paso headed the development of the Cascadian Military, which grew in number and in strength and much progress was made to get rid of the joke status of the Cascadian Military. A private server was created and practice sessions were organized by Furballen and North_Paso every week.

Kilton Peak and Argos began to retrain the troops and increased activity in the army. They also raised gold in donation campaigns to fund military gear for new soldiers. They made their own nation because of their size and influence. This idea had been debated by the rest of the meganation, and UghK1 decided to continue saving up. The town of Kilton Peak was renamed to Edgewater to reflect the real life location. The towns of Edgewater and Argos began saving up, with Koribyte contributing 600 gold. While saving up for the nation, there was an argument between UghK1 and Koribyte. Koribyte, who had councillor rank in Edgewater, withdrew all of the gold and left the town to make his own, Gilford. Edgewater immediately went and attacked the town. Eventually, it was decided that Koribyte would pay UghK1 the gold back as well as some reparations.

====''xBest_Name_Everx's Term''====

After a close race between KingBerman, xBest_Name_Everx won after KingBerman dropped out. xBest_Name_Everx reintroduced nation colors to Cascadia, as well as introduced many new policies and used lots of diplomacy in discord.

On the 2nd of August, during a military training exercise in Jefferson Square, the Cascadian Military had been training when several members of Rupert's Land and The Syndicate, 268, UghBraces, IamSen, and BlueSupreme attacked the training members as they had gear on them. Due to an unfortunate series of events, two of the members training were away to get extra resources, and the others were fist fighting with their armor off. Initially, the attackers were held back and they fled temporarily, but Sperm combat logged when his internet cut unexpectedly even though he was at full health, allowing them to gain the upper hand. Minimal gear and casualties were lost, but it reflected badly on the Cascadian military.  

On the 15th of August, a battle consisting of the Cascadian army against several attackers was fought in the capital of British Columbia. It was the result of several days of attacks from Amphire in the Cascadian towns in British Columbia. The battle was fought for around an hour, and most of the people online in Cascadia who had gear were present. The Cascadian side had 10 people with the opposing side having 3. Unfortunately, the opponents, Amphire, Jayden7566, and Mednis, who were much more experienced in fighting, killed several of the defending soldiers. Luckily most of the gear brought by the Cascadians were disposable so not much damage was incurred. After the Battle of Lower Mainland, Amphire stopped attacking the Cascadian British Columbia territory.

During the first few weeks of his term xBest_Name_Everx, he entered a defensive alliance with California with the Treaty of Astoria which also established borders with California and Salish.

A map-art competition was started by Sperm to encourage the creation of map-art by Cascadians. The grand prize was 100 gold, with 2nd and 3rd being 75 and 50 respectively. CaptnClutch7810 won, with Sperm and NA placing second and third. The maps were displayed at /n spawn afterwards.

During the latter portion of xBest_Name_Everx's presidency several towns on the outer edges of the capital province joined other provinces. Valkyria and Ba Sing Se joined Haida which was geographically closer, decreasing the population to 70. In addition, Dio had to join Deseret so North_Paso could acquire the nation as a province. Luckily, LawofRence was able to increase Astoria's population to combat this issue.  

Sperm was elected as President of Cascadia in September. His campaign promised an overall increase in activity, transparent governing, and the merging of California into Cascadia. The CID and military was also to be increased in size and strength, as well as the expansion of Cascadia into the Midwestern United States. Cascadia would also regain realm status.

On the 12th of September, Sperm announced his resignation as President as the reunification of California had fallen through and he was experiencing real-life issues. Unfortunately, Jefferson’s mayors voted to leave the Republic afterwards, although the leaders of Jefferson all wished to stay. This resulted in xBest_Name_Everx becoming President after Sperm’s departure.

After the Departure of Sperm and Jefferson,  xBest_Name_Everx was left with a government that had suffered extreme growth and loss over the last couple months. Several secretaries were Jeffersonians so positions had to be filled, as well as recruiting more people into the Republic. With the help of LawofRence, Astoria grew to 50 people, keeping the nation at realm status.

During the month of September the Cascadian Department of Development decided to refurbish the shopping district after months of inactivity. LawofRence donated 200 gold to claim more plots and finished building the quartz building which started construction in March. The development on the Shopping District continued into October under the Dornan_ administration, with Hohae and Dornan_ completing the rest of the shops next to spawn.

On the 22nd of September, the mayor of Portland, MegaPatato, threatened to declare war on Cascadia because he and Fortis_Ipsum stepped on a mine outside of his town. Tensions rose after Canadian Rockies cancelled the alliance with Cascadia. Unbeknownst to the Salish government, which Portland was under the jurisdiction of at the time, MegaPatato had actually asked for the mines to be placed when he requested LawofRence of Astoria to build a DMZ a few weeks before. After this tensions were cooled and the complaint from Portland was thrown out.
