Kingdom of Poland (pol. Królestwo Polskie), Poland is a kingdom located in Central Europe with the capital being Gdansk. Established on November 9, 2018 by Mlecz, disbanded on January 27, 2019 by xHyper20 and recreated a few hours later by Mlecz once again, it is currently one of the oldest nations on EarthMC Terra Nova. The Polish Kingdom is a member of Lechian Empire.

Territory

The Polish Kingdom claims lands of modern Poland, east Slovakia, north Czechia, a part of the eastern borderlands, Bornholm island and Tasmania island.

Poland maintains their control over the majority of declared territory, but has serious disputes and problems with the German Confederation in modern Poland. In February 2022, Polish Kingdom successfully settled in Bari, Italy and occupied a little part of south Germany for a few months as a part of the 2-year-old continuous Austrian-Polish conflict. Their puppet, Tasmania, controls barely a quarter of the island. It is due to their inactivity.

Geography

Poland is laying on the North European Plain. Characteristics of Polish geography are mainly dense oak forests, flat and highly urbanized land controlled by towns. Main rivers are Vistula flowing from Krakow to the Baltic Sea through Warszawa, Malbork and Gdansk, and Oder flowing through Stettin, Berlin and Wroclaw. Polish mountain ranges are western Carpathians and eastern Sudetes in south Poland. Small grief, several German and Polish ruins, and general disorder are commonplace. Polish islands appear similar.

Demography

Lands of Poland are permanently settled since 2018 by the vast majority of people of Polish nationality. Pretty all towns have unstable demographics depending on the mayor's activity, and it typically raises from very tens to 200. The so-called “density” is equal almost everywhere with common exceptions in Silesia and in the Galician region. Golden demographic era occurred in 2020 when Poland was populated with some 300 residents including their colonies.

Economy

Economy of the Polish Kingdom is very insignificant. There is one maintained shop in the capital and another from ~10 shops that have stopped functioning. Net worth of the Polish government is estimated at, 15000 gold ingots and a part of funds are being spent on loyal mayors.

Government

The Polish government is an absolute monarchy, with its oligarchy selected by the ruler. Polish parliament is officially called Parlament Królestwa Polskiego or Royal Parliament of Polish Kingdom which consists of Magnateria (magnates) and Szlachta (counts) which is basically a nobility being advisories for the King focusing on the management of the nation. Marszałek, or Chief of Staff, is a title created in mid-2020 as a replacement for the Towny nation king, reserved for the most loyal noble.

History

Before Terra Nova

Player Mlecz was probably the first to learn about the EarthMC startup of the new edition and to realize the plan of a Polish state. In August 2018 he gathered a few friends from EarthMC Classic (al803, kacp222) and a few more (xHyper20, gato3) and assigned them to specific settlements.

Few days later the group quietly proclaimed the Polish Republic to not raise awareness of German, Russian and Moravian neighbors and to not be quickly invaded/occupied. Some time after the republic was transformed to a monarchy which wasn't appreciated by future Szczecin settlers (kacp222, panciast, Tymkowsky). They tried to destabilize the state by spying and sabotaging (September 19, 2018), however few supporters of the King reported to him their betrayal actions and the perpetrators were punished with a "discord jail and isolation" sentence.

As of early October 2018 Polish territory was claimed by foreign bodies such as the German Empire, MinskanRus and Great Moravian Empire because of their unawareness of Polish plans. First rumors about Poland were mentioned in mid-October, as one of Szczecin traitors (panciast) gave the information away to German authorities. Polish sovereignty was endangered after the Polish nobility dug up German plans about their rapid expansionary plans on Poland. Anyway, rebels were forgiven on October 14, 2018.

Beta tests

With the beta test of Terra Nova launched a week before the start, Tymek_T, the only Polish player with access, created the oldest Polish town of Wroclaw on October 28, 2018. The community outside couldn’t wait no longer to start, as the overall situation was tense.

Server launch

With server launched at CET midnight, Poles immediately rushed the server few hours later and settled in assigned land rapidly (Gdansk, Warsaw, Szczecin) and focused on gold collecting to later, 9 days after the startup, create the nation for 512 gold ingots by Mlecz on November 9, 2018. Celebrations were held on parade in Gdansk.

Three days before that, on November 6, mayors of Bornholm and Szczecin (Mogion and panciast) decided to rebel because of enormous taxes and to join Denmark. A few hours later, though, Szczecin was occupied by Polish troopers, and then forced to rejoin the Polish community. The victorious king has set a penalty of 200 gold ingots for held town for treason, but it was never paid. Since the rebellion, Poland and Denmark were hostile and even declared war on each other. Somewhere in November 2018, unknown when exactly, Danish puppet called by “Duchy of Prussia” was founded by FenZenyatta, somewhere near real Kaliningrad. It was raided by Poles several times and existed until April 2019.

War period

Romanian-Polish War

On November 18, 2018, at 16:00 CET, Romanian soldiers, Pengun78 and 32Gold arrived at the Danish town of Allenstein (south from Prussia) in order to kill their mayor, because according to them, “he was toxic”. Polish forces consisting of Hacuspl, Snowyy4K (snowy) and xHyper20, and also FenZenyatta came to the scene at 17:00 to help him. As the battle went on, 32Gold died numerous times, while Pengun managed to make it alive for a long time before resupplying 40 minutes later. Somewhere around 17:40, 32Gold appeared again willing to combat in Gdansk. Poland eventually won and celebrated happily. After the Romanian defeat, heat1804, leader of Romania, asked for peace, willing to hand 15 gold ingots over as war reparations, but they didn’t do so.

Days later, on December 1, 2018, Mlecz abdicated for xHyper20 due to his break. The Battle of Bucharest, which occurred one day later, convinced the king to launch a counter-offensive towards Romania. On December 2, 2018, polish forces with general Mlecz attacked Romanian capital - Bucharest. Casualties were huge and kills dominated on the Polish side. War died quietly and nobody signed an ending treaty.

The First Great Server War

On December 22, 2018, Great Moravian Empire issued an ultimatum to Poland demanding Kosice to rejoin it, but they found their ultimatum rejected, hence, the war has been declared. The invaders lost skirmishes under Kosice, and then Poland counter-attacked Prague, but the Poles suffered defeat. Moravians decided to launch another offensive of the capital, Warsaw, and the battle was tied after tough resistance from the besieged. On January 2, 2019, Poland signed a peace treaty in which Kosice rejoined GME.

Russian-Polish War

On January 6, 2019, as Poland began to expand beyond modern Poland, it caught the attention of MinskanRus which later declared another ultimatum in which they wanted Valston city for 32 gold ingots. Mlecz issued a poll then, which resulted in a major denial. After having ultimatum terms rejected again, MinskanRus declared war on Poland. Russians marched towards Bialystok on January 9, 2019, where they succeeded to annex it, as well as Tarnopol town which betrayed Poles. A few hours later, the Polish king convinced Bialystok to rejoin. xHyper20 signed an ending treaty on January 29, 2019, with a long truce respected.

First Polish civil war

xHyper20 instantly announced Mlecz the successor of Polish throne at the very end of 2018 after he returned from his break. That set important mayors' hatred towards that policy (Majoor_, kacp222, Snowyy4K and more) because Mlecz was more authoritarian in their opinion than xHyper. This caused a planned upcoming revolution in which they tried to overthrow Mlecz’s rule. They managed to manipulate most of the nation via propaganda and lacking Mlecz’s mistakes, such as blaming him for war with Russians.

Polish State

Civil war officially broke out on January 13, 2019, after Szczecin left Poland, following Bialystok and other smaller towns. Five days later, on January 18, the Polish State was proclaimed in Bialystok (capital moved to Szczecin). However, first elections for rebellious states were manipulated by the state’s elites (and sabotaged by Mlecz). After a short period of time, Mlecz decided to reform Polish Kingdom in order to bring back its prosperity. One of the concepts was democratic PM elections. The state prepared much false propaganda because the Polish State was less liberalist than Poland. Each state had its own web of spies in their rival nation. Another nation called Krakovia also was made in times of the civil war by Loverboy_25 on February 4. It was subjugated by the Polish State, but it may be a rumor.

On January 26 Mlecz abdicated from the throne for unknown reasons and passed the position to xHyper again. Unknowingly of his plans, he negotiated with revolutionaries and disbanded the Polish Kingdom on January 27, 2019, and joined the Polish State.

Pomerania

Mlecz was furious about the disestablishment, so he persuaded xHyper into returning his position back. He then created the state called “Pomerania” which owned Gdansk. There were many battles between both rivals later. Pomerania had international support, but the Polish State was much stronger. He eventually sold Pomerania for Danes in March 2019 because he had given up hope to win the civil war and was also bored. MlecznySernik emigrated to Borneo and that way Gdansk and Pomerania became Danish vassals under caro_b’s mayorship. Polish State functioned prosperously and basically won the civil war.

Collapse of new state

Collapse of the Polish State began in early March 2019 after Majoor_ held royal elections in which there were two candidates: dymoslaw and Snowyy4K. The second candidate won having double votes, but it was because of his common bribery. Few days later he asked the people a question which would lead to the breakup of Polish States, it was asking whether Poland would be a Danish vassal. Community enraged and unrest grew dynamically. Half of the towns which left joined Intermarium, Denmark and some joined Pomerania. Due to this, Snowyy eventually sold the Polish State to the Danes for 1000 gold.

Restoration

POGKPP, Szczecin’s councillor left his city and bought Gdansk with the Danish Province of Poland from caro_b from his own funds, in the beginning of April 2019. Unknowingly for Danes, he planned to break free from Danish authority. The new mayor managed to re invite and rearrange a few quarreling and opposite groups of Poles. Reborn Polish Kingdom was proclaimed on April 8, 2019. The new leader asked Mlecz that he would have the throne only if he returned. And he was crowned king of reborn Poland just five days later; Gdansk was held by POGKPP and Mlecz got control over new capital, Warsaw.

Danish-Polish conflict

Independence of the new vassal was unexpected and untolerable, hence Denmark declared war on the new state. Few raids and battles include Battle of Masovia, Tarnopol raiding, Koszyce skirmishes and few more. The conflict ended in the rush of Danish elite to run Japan (somewhere in mid-2019) and leadership was taken by complete unknown personalities and speaking militarily, Denmark came out victorious, but nothing important happened in terms of held towns.

Polish colonialism

In April 2019 the idea of Polish colonialism was born when a player by name jemenik joined EarthMC and shared his colonial ambitions to Poles. He specifically wanted to reside on uninhabited Tasmania island south from Australia. In late April he settled in New Wadowice in the south-east of the island. Later on, the settlement began to develop and up to three more towns were made.

Also in April, a user named KARL sold his nation of Estonia to dymoslaw for 350 gold ingots. The bought nation subjugated itself under Poland. A week later, a new king was chosen, and he declared independence.

In September 2020, two merchants, one to be known as Alpajino, bought New Granada placed in modern Venezuela. They subjugated themselves under the Polish banner after they asked RealNek to do so. It lasted a few months until it was sold away to Cubans.

Other unsignificiant colonies include Mongolian village, another village in Bengal, Grytviken (southern Atlantic Ocean).

Separation of Silesia

In April 2019 dymoslaw spied on the major power in Europe, Intermarium and made it completely collapse because he abused his chancellor's permissions. For destroying the nation, POGKPP promised him to make him highly positioned in the government. Mlecz however wasn't in favor of his idea because dymoslaw was one of the revolutionists that led to the outbreak of civil war and was promoting anti-Mlecz propaganda materials. Under the pressure of POGKPP, Mlecz made dymoslaw a chancellor, but not for long because he was demoted some time later. On April 28, 2019, Mlecz gave power in the nation to xHyper20, who upheld Mlecz's decision about not promoting dymoslaw. On May 18, 2019, he decided to rebel, and the southern part separated from Poland. Wroclaw and a few towns in the south left Poland and joined the Silesia nation.

Few weeks later, new king of Poland (POGKPP) made deal with dymoslaw, in which a new meganation would be established, called “Polish Union”, it was made of Poland and Silesia. Rebellious nation probably collapsed in mid-June and rejoined Poland.

Polish eastern advance

In mid-2019, Polish nobles wanted to launch a successful eastward expansion into Ukraine to partially establish a major power in the form similar to Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

In mid-June 2019 a settler named Roman "PanGubernator" Dmowski went through Ukrainian steppes to found Kijow (Kyiv). The city was established south of Kiev town. It caught attention of Roman governor in Crimea, YellowVictini and his called supplies provoked Battle of Balti few hours later which occurred in southwest Ukraine. Battling of both forces was eventually won by Greater Roman Empire.

In July 2019, rivals negotiated peace in which Poland had to disband Kijow for nothing, and Romans would set mutual borders with Poland, so it was the end of the advance.

Expansion over Berlin

In July 2019, an unexpected Polish expansion into Berlin took place. Because the German town of Berlin fell, Poland funded a mayor called "GeneralEagle574" to found a town in Berlin ruins, named "Kopanica". This town was strategically very important because it made Germany lose their main cities. However, for an unknown reason, the town was disbanded a month later.

The Second Great Server War

Poland was in Entente since mid-2019 which was an international military alliance combined of various states, like Iceland, Midwest, Glacial Empire, Deutschland, Mexico or Qin. The Entente declared war on Norway for defensive reasons on September 24, 2019. That war quickly escalated worldwide, especially on the European continent, where many nations began to support each side. Regional Powers, which was an alliance in which Norway was apart of it, declared full support for them.

Polish forces participated in the battles of Lundegrunde (Norway’s capital), Budapest, and Gdansk. The first battle was won by Regional Power forces despite their huge numerical disadvantage. The European theater died one month later, and Poland left the Entente in February 2020. Polish territorial height was the greatest in this period of time - Poland controlled not only Poland, but also the majority of Belarus, west Ukraine, Slovakia, and islands such as Bornholm or Gotland.

Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth

Poland tried to form a similar form of PLC in late 2020 several times, but failed. Their greatest achievements in this field were successful invites of Ukraine, Belarus, and Greater Armenia (disputably, it was part of GRE), but they didn’t take this formation seriously, and in fact, it didn’t function until their communications server disbandment.

Second German-Polish War

In April 2020, the Chancellor of Germany, under the name of BamBamTheEggman, issued an ultimatum to Poland, in which Germany demanded Polish authorities fix their mutual borders. However, Poland ignored their ultimatum, resulting in the declaration of war on April 24, 2020. Austria and many German allies sided with them in the conflict. It is widely considered that Germany was winning the whole conflict, defeating Polish armies in battles and conquering more townblocks in the Polish core. But the conflict died in autumn 2020 due to inactivity.

First European Empire

On July 11, 2020, both the governments of the Polish Kingdom and Germany announced the creation of the European Empire. The formation, which was a very unexpected act in the international community, united both nations and the PLC nation into one entity. The meganation lasted one day and was disbanded because it turned out to be a German ploy for large amounts of gold and general Polish loot. In fact, Poland didn’t share any of its valuables or money. According to Poland, the meganation was formed unsarcastically, and Germans were called "rebels".

Continuation of the conflict

Since the unification of the Austrian Empire and Germany on June 26, 2021, the conflict has been brought back as Austria took the most important roles in the united state and now it is Austria conflicting with Poland. They actually improved the German situation after June 2021. Up to 2000 chunks were controlled simultaneously in Polish cores (now, many fewer). The Second German-Polish War continues nowadays with no great progress since the Treaty of Malbork, in which the 300-chunk town of Malbork would have been incorporated into Poland.

Second Polish civil war

On May 27, 2019, xHyper20 abdicated and POGKPP, one of the most important noble holding Gdansk, was thronized for the first time. Since then, his reign has lasted over two years and counting. That led to destabilization in the southern region of Poland in summer 2020. 3meraldK, a significant Polish noble, decided to try to overthrow his rule with his companion Wolk__, which controls Krakow, and with UndoneArtist (it turned out he was spying for Poland in February 2021).

East Galicia was proclaimed in August 2020, and created on September 21, 2020 in Kosice. They joined Austria a few days later because they were worried about their situation in Europe.

Polish Federation

The Second Polish Civil War ended in July 2021 as a result of actions taken by members of the Koszyce Confederation, who threatened and caused destabilization. The Polish Kingdom and the West Galician Kingdom merged to form a Polish Federation, which granted nations complete autonomy except for diplomatic privileges.

Total integration

Strong cooperation between two nations and more would later lead to complete unification of states. In March 2022, the Galician Kingdom was sold for 500 gold ingots and the Polish Federation was disbanded.

Lechian Empire

Negotiations with Bulgarian representatives and the Polish government, initiated by the Polish noble, ToMeKiRyS, led to the proclamation of the Lechian Empire. It consisted of Poland, Galicia, and Bulgaria and later expanded their influence into Croatia and Lithuania. The Polish Federation was given the leader role because it was the most influential in the new empire.

Notable personalities

• Mlecz - father of Poland on EarthMC. He initiated the project of Poland in mid-2018 with his group of friends and managed to establish a major, prosperous power in Europe and the world. He would later be betrayed by his people in the first civil war.
• POGKPP - a very notable and important noble in EarthMC Polish politics. He would join Poland in November 2018 to Szczecin and begin his political career, cooperating with Mlecz's friends and others. In April 2019, he would be the father of the reborn Polish state, which was completely shattered after the fate of the first civil war. Poland's longest-serving ruler, who still retains the overwhelming support of the country's mayors.
• xHyper20 - notable politician in EarthMC Poland. He would betray Mlecz in January 2019, after being persuaded by the first civil war revolutionists. He would be one of the rulers in Poland, eventually abdicating in May 2019. He has been a Lechian politician since July 2021, serving as 1st Chancellor and 2nd Lech.
• 3meraldK - important politician and diplomat in EarthMC Poland. In March 2019, he would join Szczecin, Poland.He would actually bring some important changes to the nation. In May 2020, he started his anti-POGKPP acts, which would lead to a second civil war, which eventually ended in July 2021. Now he's the Polish chancellor and the 2nd Chancellor of the Lechian Empire. Because of his diplomacy, he was always being mistaken for the actual King of Poland.
• ToMeKiRyS - father of the Lechian Empire, noble in EarthMC Poland. He would join Koszyce, Poland in April 2019. For most of the time, he would practically do nothing important. He would start his political career in 2021. ToMeKiRyS would be very important in terms of founding Lechian Empire by inviting Bulgarian representatives, and warming up relationships between International Defense Coalition and African/Middle East major powers (Israel, Tanzania). Now he's the 2nd Chancellor of Lechia.
