Adrian Bonanno Volkov the Unc, King of Borneo and Albany, Pretender to the Throne of Imperial Quebec, Patriarch of the House of Volkov, is an Albanic king, businessman, royal, former mobster and militant leader, and politician from Albany. He currently serves as the king of Borneo, and leader of the city of Albany. He is also the Pretender to the Throne of Imperial Quebec, claiming to be the rightful heir of the Quebec Imperial Dynasty.

2021

AdrianHES spawned in Russia on January 12, 2021. He initially built a small compound for himself in the wilderness, and a restaurant called "Tony's Diner" on the Trans-Siberian Icerail. Several days later, he was invited to Philadelphia by OrangeJuiceMoose and immigrated there, taking the name "Volkov." He stayed in a commieblock apartment with five neighbors, and made a living selling items he salvaged from fallen towns. During this period, he briefly owned a pirate ship off the Somalian coast, with PirateRon. Several weeks later, he bought a townhouse in New York City and relocated there, as he began to grow in status within the American government. He also purchased a restaurant in New York.

On February 12, 2021, AdrianHES created the town of Albany directly north of New York City, with the funding given by Lucas2011. For the next several weeks, Adrian rapidly expanded the town with his own funding, as well financing major earth-moving operations to pave two main thoroughfares in the city. By March, the USA's war against the North American Pact was in full swing, and Albany served as a strategic nexus between mainland Quebec and the USA. Adrian became embroiled in the cold war between the two superpowers.

Following intense diplomatic pressure and struggle within the government, due in part to an emerging clique gaining control over America's affairs, AdrianHES quietly betrayed the United States and started a counter-intelligence campaign against New York City. On May 13th, 2021, under the pseudonym "Rawhide", AdrianHES delivered a dossier to the North American Pact. It detailed allegations of corruption against Lucas2011 and other members of the American government. Much of it was disinformation, but some of it was true. Adrian then began a crusade of open attacks against the "deep state" running the USA, including a bomb attack of the Philadelphia commieblock and a lava attack of a house in suburban New Jersey. The USA collapsed in June; Adrian retired to Vienna, Austria.

AdrianHES took a hiatus, then returned in August to create the town of New Hiram Station (later renamed Telkwa) alongside PaintedIndigo. Albany collapsed during this time. Shortly after, Adrian officially defected to Quebec. Several politicians in Quebec, alongside some of AdrianHES' friends, agreed to finance the re-creation of Albany, which proved to be successful. In the re-established Albany, Adrian and councillor Deathlife23 rose to prominence within the Quebec government. Deathlife became a regularly elected minister, and Adrian became Prime Minister through the Solidarity Party. He held this position for the remainder of the year.

By late 2021, New York's leadership shifted from Lucas2011 to Wishful Carrington Wintour. Relations were initially calm between Adrian and Wishful, with several friendly building plans created to foster diplomacy. However, New York funded the town of Burlington on Albany's eastern border, which Adrian and the Quebec inner government accused of being a hostile claim arm to prevent Albany from expanding eastward. This led to a return to a hostile conflict, which was further exacerbated when Lucas2011 demolished Adrian's New York home.

The conflict between Quebec and New York, which became known as the North American Cold War, went on for the remainder of the year.

2022

In January 2022, Adrian was at the height of his power as Prime Minister of Quebec. Albany peaked at several hundred members. Adrian eventually got accepted into the Quebec nobility and deep state. He went on to transition Quebec into a socialist republic, incorporating the People's Republic of Klondike which was owned by PaintedIndigo. He created an intelligence agency for Quebec, known as the Ministry of State Security, as well as a central banking system. However, things began to decline in Quebec as more players quit, got burnt out, or banned.

The EarthMC reset came in May 2022, with much of the Quebec oligarchy deciding to come to Terra Aurora and form the nation of Indochina. Adrian followed suit, and created Albany on the island of Borneo. Many original players followed over, and the town expanded rapidly. This time, however, Adrian took a less involved role within the Indochinese government. Instead, Adrian focused on transitioning the Volkov Family into a criminal organization. He established an organized system based on the rules of the Sicilian mafia, which became known as the EarthMC Mafia.

Adrian's organization grew in power and connections, expanding to have businesses in most major continents. It owned a restaurant in New York, several businesses in Europe, and many businesses in Albany. Their primary rackets included protection racketeering, extortion, construction contract scamming, gold duping, and contract assassinations. On November 11, 2022 Adrian was banned following a confession by Senor, a made man within the organization. Adrian was officially banned for forging evidence against several players, which led to their bans, also known as "whacking."

2024

Adrian remained banned throughout 2023, but advised the leadership of Albany throughout the entire period.

Adrian remained banned until May 20, 2024 when he was finally unbanned. He took back the position of mayor of Albany, but gave it up due to a disinterest in politics. He essentially entered retirement in Albany, and was barely active. He briefly attempted to re-establish Old Albany in its original location, which was occupied by Vermont. The government of Vermont agreed to assist, but the Wintour family eventually prevented the idea from coming to fruition, and the project was abandoned. This was also due to the exact location of original Albany being claimed by Montpelier.

Adrian came out of retirement in mid-March 2025, and subsequently was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albany by current mayor Loganslair. Following the onset of the Indochinese Civil War, Loganslair created the nation of Borneo then abdicated his position and placed AdrianHES there instead. Adrian subsequently declared Borneo a kingdom, ruled by the Volkov royal dynasty.
