The 2nd Assembly of the Evergreen Republic, as the legislative branch of the federal government of the Evergreen Republic, met for the month of March during the Presidency of xBest_Name_Everx and under the First Government of SayerQT. It was elected in the March elections, and produced numerous pieces of important legislation in the continuing development of the Republic as a nation.

The composition of the Assembly was an overwhelming supermajority for the government of SayerQT, which has served as the Cabinet of the Evergreen Republic since March 2, 2022 upon a successful 26-2 investiture vote by the Assembly (with 3 abstentions). It was the first elected sitting of the Assembly.

Major events

  • March 1, 2022: The 2nd Convocation of the Assembly officially begins, with the FroyourFilms cabinet remaining in office in a caretaker capacity.
  • March 1, 2022: xBest_Name_Everx becomes President of the Evergreen Republic.
  • March 2, 2022: SayerQT becomes Chancellor of the Evergreen Republic and her cabinet is appointed after a 26-2 investiture vote with 3 abstentions.
  • March 2, 2022: The Evergreen Republic signs a non-aggression pact with the Mexican Empire.
  • March 9, 2022: shattered2907 is inaugurated as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, filling the seat vacated by xBest_Name_Everx.
  • March 17, 2022: The Keewatin Accords establish the Organization of American States with Mexico and the United States.
  • March 19, 2022: Several ambassadors of the Republic are accredited to numerous foreign states.
  • March 21, 2022: The Treaty of Cordova is signed, establishing the formal Border between the Evergreen Republic and the Kingdom of Haida.
  • March 25, 2022: The Province of Queen Charlotte falls into ruin, and the Governor, Chief Justice Bermana, resigns from the Supreme Court and the Assembly.
  • March 27, 2022: Associate Justice Bubba_Tea and Beepsky are nominated by the SayerQT Government and elected by the Assembly to the Supreme Court, with Bubba_Tea taking over as Chief Justice.

  • March 21, 2022: The Treaty of Cordova is ratified, establishing the formal Border between the Evergreen Republic and the Kingdom of Haida.
  • March 25, 2022: The Political Education Services Act (PESA) is enacted, establishing a nationally standardized education system, overseen by the Ministry of Recruitment.
  • March 26, 2022: The Establishment of Monthly Donation Competitions Act is enacted, establishing monthly donation competitions with monetary payouts.

Constitutional Amendments

  • March 4, 2022: The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution is ratified, giving limited legislative representation to new provinces.
  • March 20, 2022: The 3rd Amendment to the Constitution is ratified, abolishing the Constitutional mandate for the federal capital.

Provinces admitted

  • March 1, 2022: Russian Alaska becomes the 20th Province of the Evergreen Republic.
  • March 30, 2022: Kansas becomes the 20th<ref>The Province of Queen Charlotte fell into ruin in between the admission of Kansas and Russian Alaska, therefore making Kansas the 20th and Russian Alaska retroactively the 19th.</ref> Province of the Evergreen Republic.

Composition

The composition of the 2nd Assembly was determined at the March 2022 Evergreen legislative election. 31 delegates were returned. The number of delegates dropped to 30 mid-session due to the resignation of Bermana of Queen Charlotte.
