Presidency, (January 19th - March 16th)
In January 2025, Farosh_ announced his intentions to run for President in the upcoming election. Picking current Vice President of Cascadia, Xeocas, as his running mate, he won the election with 61.1% of the vote against ThornierRex3330 and former President SergioTheCrafter. During his Presidency, the Farosh_ Administration introduced the Library of Cascadia and the Major Crimes Act, working to cut red tape and bureaucracy with laws such as the Educate Act II. In late January and early February, the Arcadians, who had migrated from Havaiki, returned home as many dissatisfied Cascadians joined Alaska. What followed was a period of inactivity dubbed as the Brain Drain, when many active politicians left the nation.
On the 30th January, Illinois attacked the Midwest Union, beginning the next phase of the OFN-Entente War. The very next day, former King of Texas and perpetrator of the Great American War, North_Paso, returned to take the throne of Texas after instability in the nation. Facing multiple challenges abroad, the Farosh_ Administration sought to defend Cascadia and her allies from outside threats and invasions and begin domestic reforms, entering into a period of isolationism.
February 2025 Cascadian General Election
In February 2025, Farosh_ ran for a second term as President of Cascadia. Running against one candidate, SergioTheCrafter, Farosh_ picked Secretary of State HawaiianDPG as his Vice President. The ticket won with a landslide of 73.3% of the vote. The turnout fell to a low of 39.8% with no major competitors for many elected positions.
Cabinet Reshuffle
After a major cabinet reshuffle, the second Farosh_ Administration focused on domestic reform, passing the Army Corps of Mayors Act, which established an army of mayors, and the Civil Service Reform Act which further reduced bureaucracy. Other bills, such as the Public Companies Act and the Cacadian Communications (CasCOMMS) Act would also see growth in Cascadian business sector, laying the foundations for a public broadcaster and news organisation. To address the ongoing Brain Drain, the Department of Home Affairs, led by Secretary Milgorn123, introduced the 'Cascadian Immigration Act', establishing temporary citizenship. After the creation of Settlement Grants, the immigration programme saw major success when a large community of Baltic Immigrants joined Cascadia following Lithuania's merger with Tavastia in early March, revitalising the nation with new activity and towns.
During President Farosh_'s second term, Cascadia saw mounting tension in the Great North as Alaska encroached on Cascadian territory. Late February and early March would see Vermont withdraw from the OFN-Entente War and the collapse of Texas into Civil War, strategically isolating Cascadia and placing immense pressure on the Farosh_ Administration.

Compounding these issues was the 'USA Affair', a major diplomatic scandal which would see former Speaker of the House, Shadowcipher, illegally sell the 'USA Trade Possession' without the authorisation of the Government of Cascadia, which owned the nation as an asset. After negotiations proved fruitless, Shadowcipher and former Vice President, Capitanfra, would legally challenge several Cascadian laws while citizens of Havaiki, an ally of Cascadia. In response, Attorney-General Akeboun would introduce the Foreign Interference Act, which was passed by the House of Representatives shortly after, preventing foreign citizens from practicing law in Cascadia. Despite further negotiations, the USA nation would be sold to new owners while the town of US joined Cascadia.
As of May 2025, the USA Incorporation Act, which established the Trade position has not been repealed by the House of Representatives.
March 2025 Cascadia General Election
When he was first elected, President Farosh_ had made it clear that he had no intentions to run for a third term as President of Cascadia. Before the March 2025 Presidential Debate on 13th March, President Farosh_ delivered his farewell address to the nation, stating that he would retire and only consider returning to Cascadian politics if he had ideas 'he wanted to share'. He emphasised that public office is a purpose - not an entitlement, distancing himself from influential politicians who continue to stay active in politics long after their terms as President.
During the March 2025 General Election, both of Farosh_'s Vice Presidents ran for President. To avoid controversy, he maintained a low profile and voted as a private citizen.
He did not run for re-election in the March election, and was succeeded by incumbent Vice President HawaiianDPG. He has since taken up a career as the Librarian of Cascadia.
