Officer of the Republic of Cascadia: Difference between revisions

Under the Appointments Clause of Article IV of the [[National Constitution of Cascadia (Aurora)|National Constitution]], the principal officers of the Republic, such as [[Supreme Court of Cascadia|judges]], ambassadors, and "public ministers" ([[Cabinet of Cascadia|Cabinet]] members) are appointed by the [[President of Cascadia|President]] with the advice and consent of the [[Legislature of Cascadia|House of Representatives]], but the Legislature may vest the appointment of inferior officers to the president, courts, or department heads. Officers of the Republic of Cascadia should not be confused with employees of Cascadia, who lack the special legal authority of the former.
