Ka_tie (spawned May 18th, 2025), also known as Katie or Katie Clerk, is a notable apolitical figure and personality who has served as the 26th President of Cascadia. She is highly regarded for the work she completed in Grouse, and as a result, it landed her roles in the national government. Katie had previously served as the House Clerk in the Legislature of Cascadia for two consecutive terms until later becoming the Speaker pro tempore following Mjap04’s resignation from the 42nd legislature. Currently, she holds roles such as being an Advisor to the President, House Representative, and Ambassador to Texas.
Life in Grouse
Katie spawned into EarthMC on May 18th, 2025, joining the town of Grouse in the Republic of Cascadia. After receiving an invite from Grouse’s mayor Pancen, she immediately got to work on the town’s infrastructure and helped create the community discord. Within days she had developed the market square and its original stalls, pushed for an official road and town flag design, and aided Pancen in the construction of the government system that Grouse still uses to this day.
Town Politics
As the town grew, a city council was developed in order to shoulder the work that came with being a mayor. Katie had become the chair of the first and second council in June and July. In her two month tenure, she had proposed 60% of council bills which focused on resident rights, infrastructure, and the town’s economy. Just as her second term as councillor came to a close, the town manager, NuggetZ911 (formally known as NightGhost821), had resigned. In order to fill the vacant role Katie was picked after council deliberation. She served as town manager from July 30th to December 12th in that same year. In the last couple months Katie had also become the town’s first treasurer. As town manager, she continued to make proposals for the city council. She authored bills that regulated the town bank, established welfare, created government departments, kickstarted projects, and advocated for honorary residency rights. Most of all, she accomplished her goal in expanding Grouse over 700 chunks, a feat that no other town manager had been able to achieve before.
The Exodus
Between the months of November and December, Grouse’s political environment had shifted. It had become toxic behind closed doors, which in turn sped up Katie’s burnout in being town manager. She got tired of mediating for daily arguments and had begun to dislike the government system that she had helped curate. So, on December 12th, Katie and her friends Mjap04, PavtheYT, and melvinm04 decided to leave town. Other notable residents such as Csmxthy, Jus1_Amy, deadroachh, and MC_bubbls shortly began to follow suit and seek refuge in the respective towns of Wildwood and Oakwood. A day later, this decision led to consequences that prompted a return for unification. Katie was thrusted back into town politics in order to rebuild Grouse and to this day still actively participates within the government as a councillor and deputy town manager.
Attempted Assassination
On February 9th, 2026, Katie visited the Alliance Steakhouse in Oakwood. While eating, a crazed man by the name of Xultimate had entered the steakhouse and opened fire, seeking to rob the establishment. Katie had gotten shot in the midst of the burglary and had to be rushed to the Olympia General Hospital shortly after the attack. The surgeons were able to remove six 9mm bullets from her body, one of which was lodged inches from her heart. Luckily, Senior Surgeon Milgorn123 performed his job excellently and Katie later made a full recovery while also receiving free Alliance Steakhouse coupons as an apology for the attack.
