ElimBessus
ElimBessus is a Cascadian politician who served as the 35th vice president of Cascadia, as well as a former member of the Cascadian House of Representatives from Frontier, Former Cascadian Secretary of Defense, and Former Advisor to the President.
Early Beginnings (January-April 2025)
ElimBessus Joined Cascadia on the 24th of January, 2025.
In the February 2025 General Election, ElimBessus was elected to the House as a Frontier Representative. Although Elim's Work in the house was mostly getting to grips with Cascadia, He did make a Vocal Opposition to the Ballot Registration Tax bill that was debated in the house, citing it as unfair to those who wanted to take part in democracy
First Presidential Run and House Successes (April-May 2025)
Following A spell as Presidential Advisor in the HawaiianDPG Admin, ElimBessus sought re-election to the house.
Along with that, he announced a presidential run, with the Elim-Flors Ticket garnering significant attention for bringing a possibility of spoling the election. Elim Ran on a moderate tone, advocating for a Cascadian Olympics and for an OFN referendum, both of which received community Praise.
The Elim-Flors ticket did better than expected, finishing 3rd with with over 10% of the vote, but not forcing a deadlock or reaching the final round.
ElimBessus was elected to the house as Frontier Representative again in the same election, winning his 2nd term.
ElimBessus would pass his only successful house bill, the Commission for Presidential Debates Act, during this Tern.
May General Election and Rise to Prominence (May 2025)
CapitanFra would select ElimBessus as his Defense Secretary Nominee in his bid for the presidency. Following Capitan's victory, ElimBessus was appointed Defense Secretary.
As Secretary of Defense, Elim’s early work was marred with the Cascadia-Vermont dispute of May 2025, with many key pieces of work such as Army Reform having to be put on the back burner. this was later exemplified by the resignation of CapitanFra. work was mostly internal, as Elim’s strategies struggled to come to life in this term
Continued Work in Government (June 2025-July 2025)
Following Ahea’s victory in the June Election, Elim retained his role as Secretary of Defense.
The Second term of Elim in government saw the continuation of the usage of funding to create more town grants, with emphasis on the creation of national wide settlements.
A continued voice in government affairs, this term saw more activity with more recommendations and advice being successfully incorporated into the cascadian government, with a watchdog attitude on major issues.
July 2025 Presidential Run and Return to House (July 2025)
Following the announcement that Elim was not to return to the Department of Defense for another term, ElimBessus launched his presidential campaign on the 13th July 2025, selecting MMMeslina as his Running mate.
In what was expected to be a highly competitive election, Elim took a stance of being a Watchdog on national defense again, with stances of vermont at the time being one of a true watchdog principle. policies such as a cascadian olympics and a simplified economic system saw prevalence as Elim, despite being a secretary, was still a dark horse. Elim finished 4th, with an improved vote share of 11%, this being all the more impressive as Elim managed to defeat Former and Future presidents, who had a far higher voter notoriety than himself. on that same day, Elim was elected to the house, winning on the first ballot to return to the house as a frontier representative.
