The xBest_Name_Everx Court, sometimes shortened to the xBest Court, refers to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Cascadia from October 17, 2022 to February 19, 2023, when xBest_Name_Everx served as the second Chief Justice of Cascadia. xBest_Name_Everx, who had been the last directly-elected Chief Judge of Cascadia at the October 2022 general election, was initially the sole judge of the State Court of Cascadia, established by Cascadia's first constitution, known as the "Provisional Constitution". Reforms during his tenure to the court system, such as the ratification of the Supreme Court of Cascadia Amendment on Novemeber 27, 2023, expanded the court to 3 justices, who were appointed by the President with legislative approval. These justices of the newly-renamed Supreme Court would be required to retain the approval of the public in monthly referendums.
It was the only court to adjudicate any case under the Provisional Constitution before the adoption of the modern National Constitution on January 1, 2023. It oversaw two cases, one of which (Cascadia v. Cowilo, et al. (2022/12)) was Cascadia's only jury trial, as trial by jury was abolished by the National Constitution. The other of which, SayerQT v. Cascadia (2023/1) involved a constitutional interpretation.
The xBest_Name_Everx Court established early precedents in Cascadian constitutional law, particularly regarding the interpretation of legislative procedures and criminal statutes. However, while its few decisions were relevant, the court and its rulings were not as far-reaching and politicized as further courts would be, with the court still remaining in its infancy, being extraordinarily underutilized, and subject to significant reform. Many traditions and precedents of the court were not set at this time, with the court still trying to figure out its own operations.
xBest_Name_Everx would fail retention in the February 19, 2023 general election, and would be replaced by Associate Justice WrestlingWithGod as Chief Justice, starting the WrestlingWithGod Court.
Membership
The xBest Court initially consisted of xBest and two Associate Justices: WrestlingWithGod and Arathorn52, both appointed by president ViolentVampire. WrestlingWithGod would lose retention at the January 15, 2023 general election, and would be replaced by Furballen. In late January, Arathorn52 would retire from the court, and was replaced by WrestlingWithGod, who would return to the bench.

Major rulings
Cascadia v. Cowilo et al. (2022/12)
The court upheld the constitutionality of the Anti-Hunter Act, which prohibits the killing of foreign individuals not from nations in conflict with Cascadia. The defendants were found guilty of killing three foreign individuals, including a Russian Empire subject. The court ordered the return of stolen items and imposed fines on the defendants. It was the only jury trial ever held in Cascadia.
SayerQT v. Cascadia (2023/1)
In a unanimous decision, the court interpreted Article III §3b of the National Constitution, ruling that a two-thirds majority of the total House membership is required to override a presidential veto, not just two-thirds of those present and voting. This decision maintained the Anti-Hunter Act after a failed legislative attempt to repeal it and override President TylenolEC's veto.
Other branches
ViolentVampire, TylenolEC, and EstiQT were president of Cascadia during this court. The Legislatures during this court were the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Legislatures of Cascadia.
