Farosh_ (spawned June 20, 2023) is a Vermonter-Cascadian politician who served as the 19th president of Cascadia from January to March 2025. He is currently serving as the 8th Chief Justice of Cascadia, having previously served as an Associate Justice. Farosh's first foray into politics was as a Representative in Vermont, winning in a special election on August 17, 2024. After completing a term as Vice President under President mikesworldus, he was himself elected President of Vermont in October 2024. Upon completing his term, Farosh_ moved west to Cascadia, settling in the town of Fresno. He would become a freshman Representative in the 28th Legislature, going on to become Secretary of State in December, and President in January 2025, serving until March. Throughout his political career, Farosh advocated for conservation and a strong foreign policy.
Rejoining EarthMC in early August 2024, Farosh served a brief stint in France for two days, before moving to Vermont on August 8 during the ongoing Great American War between the Organisation of Free Nations (OFN) and the Republic of Texas. After winning a special election as a Representative, Farosh was elevated to the position of Vice President under mikesworldus, winning re-election on the same ticket. As Vice President, he pushed for greater checks and balances in the constitution, creating the position of Speaker of the House and Attorney-General, separating the powers of the Executive and the Legislative Branches. He also sought to improve the strained relationship between Cascadia and Vermont, successfully advocating for Vermont to jointly end the Great American War alongside its OFN allies, culminating in the Treaty of Vancouver.
In October 2024, Farosh was elected as the 7th President of Vermont, winning 60% of the vote with 47 valid votes cast. During his Presidency, Farosh appointed Xeocas to the Supreme Court as Chief Justice, working alongside him to write a new Vermont Constitution, which remains in effect to this day. Farosh's tenure would see a period of relative stability, during which Vermont saw a steady growth in population and GDP thanks in-part to the new n spawn shop. However, on October 1, the shop would be robbed by the leader of Ontario, Ruleroftheland, and Ariohc, who utilised a buy-back exploit with pistons to rob the shop of thousands of gold. This incident sparked a minor conflict between Vermont and Ontario, which also involved a border dispute between the two nations. After months of negotiations, the conflict would be resolved by the Treaty of Augusta. By the end of October, Vermont would also see intense political factionalism and debate between the two candidates for President, Bill 'Rocky' Moor (Anaphase_Andy) and Princeling7, which the saw the two abuse their admin perms to gain an advantage in the rapidly approaching election. After Farosh called for calm, Princeling withdrew from the race, allowing Rocky to become the 8th President on October 31. On the same day, Farosh migrated to Cascadia, having planned to do so since before he became Vice President.
In Cascadia, Farosh completed his term as Assistant Secretary-General of the OFN, successfully running for Representative in the South. During the 28th Legislature, he proposed the 'Raptormm4 Conservation Act', a landmark piece of legislation reforming the National Park System into the National Park Service, centralising the framework for the management of Cascadia's extensive and diverse parkland. In December 2024, the new President, 4whatok, nominated Farosh as Secretary of State, with his nomination passing unanimously in the House of Representatives. During 4whatok's Presidency, Farosh oversaw the Treaty of Juneau with Alaska, a major competitor in the Great North that had begun to expand south towards Cascadia's core. He also secured a Non-Aggression Pact with BC, ending any loose threads after the Cascadia-Mackenzie War that had concluded a month prior. His term as Secretary of State also oversaw the insurgency of California, led by Olsar, whose ultimate goal was the unification of California at the expense of Cascadia's sovereignty in the region. Farosh would lead some of the first negotiations with Olsar, which were ultimately fruitless.

Vermont (August 6 - October 31, 2024)
Beginnings
Farosh_ spawned on June 20, 2023, leaving soon after. On August 6, 2024, he rejoined and was recruited to Paris, France. With a strong interest in democracy and having previous experience in towny on Earth Minecraft servers, he sought involvement in the French government and expressed interest in holding a town in the Pyrenees, then unclaimed. However, finding France to be too hierarchical and ironic as a monarchy, Farosh chose to leave Paris two days later to join the Vermont Republic, first noticing the nation on the Dynamic Map. Seeing that the town of Hamilton's mayor, 404aka, was online, he messaged her and asked to join the town.
404aka invited Farosh to the Vermont Discord, where he spent time reading and researching Vermont's constitution and laws. Within days of becoming a resident of Hamilton, he met and befriending Vice President Princeling7, the nation's leader and mayor of Vermont City, who, after learning of his enthusiasm, offered him the role of 'Observing Representative' to view the General Assembly and its proceedings. Shortly after, Farosh was offered the position of Councillor, on the recommendation of Princeling, in the town of Tremblant, led by Billi003.
After serving a brief stint as Councillor of Tremblant, Farosh saved up 64 gold, enough to found a town of his own, On August 8, he established Saint John, based on the real-life city of the same name. He began by renovating the ruins of the old town hall, transforming it into a spawn point and community building. He promoted the project to fellow Vermonters, including President Mikesworldus, who donated some of his gold to help expand and develop the town. Close by was the town of Moncton, owned by SagePirates, who expanded its claims towards Saint John to create a road between the two towns.
Vermont Representative
On August 17, Farosh was elected unanimously in a special election to the General Assembly, replacing Representative StoneSucker, who had been inactive throughout his term in office. Farosh promised to provide the necessary funds and resources needed to complete the national shop, then under construction beneath the Capitol. He also committed himself to improving Vermont's democracy by introducing legislation to establish the roles of Speaker and Attorney-General, both of which Vermont lacked.
A special session of the General Assembly was called by 404aka a few days later, requesting Representatives attended a meeting in Hamilton. She was concerned that Sudbury, previously owned by her friend AvumsStudent, was going to be sniped by an unknown player and used to overclaim Hamilton. During the ongoing Great American War, between the Organisation of Free Nations (OFN) and the Republic of Texas, it was feared that this player had connections with the Texans, who had made an offensive into Vermont months prior. Although 404aka's fears were ultimately proved unfounded, several Representatives, including Farosh and SagePirates, grew increasingly frustrated with the ongoing drama in the nation, as well as what they perceived to be 404aka’s abuse of power in her roles as both an admin and a Justice of the Supreme Court.
Around this time, Farosh, encouraged by SagePirates and fellow Representative Ruleroftheland, considered joining Nunavik. However, after joining the Republic of Cascadia’s Discord, he was impressed by the nation’s realistic and well-developed democratic system, which convinced him to begin preparing to leave Vermont.
However, on August 23, a conflict erupted between Princeling7 and 404aka after the former removed 404aka’s 'Observing Justice' role. 404aka argued that the role could only be revoked by the General Assembly. What followed was the boiling point of the tensions and political drama that had been building around her role as an admin. In response to the fight that ensued in the Discord, 404aka used her admin powers to remove criticism of her, citing multiple rule violations. Several Representatives, including SagePirates and Ruleroftheland, left Vermont soon after. In an effort to restore stability, the General Assembly voted to impeach 404aka and remove her as a Justice, nominating Princeling as her replacement. With the office of Vice President now vacant, President Mikesworldus, on the recommendation of Princeling, nominated Farosh to fill the position, even as Farosh was preparing to move to Cascadia.

End of the Great American War
Following the Texan Eastern Offensive in July during the Great American War, Cascadian and Vermont relations were strained. By the time Farosh become Vice President, the Vermont government was engaged in negotiations with Texan leadership in an effort to end the war. No agreement had been reached, and an unconditional surrender by Vermont had been rejected. A ceasefire between the two nations had held for several weeks, however, despite sporadic hunting from Texans. Meanwhile, President Mikesworldus and his cabinet largely avoided or ignored the war, instead delegating the authority to negotiate a settlement to Princeling, who sought a treaty separate from the OFN and Cascadia. With anti-war sentiment soaring, Texas seized the opportunity to pressure Vermont into agreeing to a treaty that would grant significant concessions, including territorial loss and a guarantee to leave the OFN. Amid these negotiations, Farosh was invited to the group chat were it was taking place, thrown into the deep-end of diplomacy with a nation and situation he was entirely unfamiliar with.
On 26 August, Farosh reached out to the Cascadian Secretary of State, Dracnoian. Their discussions were positive, and focused largely on improving the relationship between the two nations. Dracnoian also offered advice on how to strengthen and improve Vermont's democracy, which remained a keen interest of Farosh's. Days later, Farosh spoke with Fierymatter, the Cascadian Secretary of Defence, who cautioned that the Vermont government should carefully consider pursuing a treaty with Texas independently, or in co-ordination with Cascadia. During this period, Farosh remained active within the OFN, working to align Vermont’s war effort with Cascadia, often acting independently of the Mikesworldus administration.
With the success of the Cascadian Summer Offensive into the Texan heartlands, the tide of the Great American War began to turn in favour of the OFN into September. Vermont's status as a belligerent in the war was no longer questioned. With Texas on the backfoot, Farosh convinced the cabinet that it was no longer necessary to surrender; Texas was no longer in a position to demand anything, and the theatre of war was no longer on the doorstep of Vermont. Anti-war sentiment quelled, as the government and citizens could focus on playing without fear of hunters or reprisal. This allowed a couple of peace treaties, pushed by Princeling and Mikesworldus, to be rejected with the lobbying of Farosh and Malician. A deal struck by Mikesworldus with the Texan government was also struck down in the General Assembly by Farosh with a tie-breaker vote, the first of its kind in Vermont history, after he convinced the President to align with the OFN and Cascadia.
On September 13, Farosh, Malician, and Mikesworldus represented Vermont in peace talks with Texas, alongside OFN allies. Negotiations took place over several days, with Vermont and Cascadia's cores being settled with little debate. The main point of contention was the status of Louisiana, which remained claimed by Cascadia and Texas, who both had several towns in the region. Farosh felt that the Cascadian delegation was unnecessarily delaying peace by demanding a section of land they had expanded into during the Summer Offensive. After multiple rounds of negotiation, the Cascadian delegation ultimately relented. Hours later, Farosh proposed the Treaty of Vancouver to the Vermont General Assembly. Vermont became the first nation in North America to ratify the agreement, bringing an end to months of war.
Princeling, who had been absent from the negotiations until the ratification of the Treaty of Vancouver, soon took issue with members of the Texan delegation. Around this time, a Vermont citizen, Tr4fikk, created a group chat with Princeling to request the return of one of his armour sets, which had been taken by Tr1st4n_06, a prominent Texan hunter. The ink had barely dried by the time Princeling began complaining, alleging the Texans had 'committed a war crime' despite the incident taking place weeks before the end of the war. In response, Mikesworldus, Farosh, and Malician all agreed to reimburse Tr4ffik with gold to make up the loss of his gear, and kick Princeling from negotiations, bringing the dispute to a close and preventing any premature collapse of the Treaty of Vancouver.
Fight against Corruption
As soon as he was confirmed as the Vice President of Vermont, Farosh set out to improve Vermont's democracy. He introduced the 'National Budget and Responsibility Act', creating a uniform budget system inspired by Cascadia's; the 'Expanded Roles Act' establishing the offices Speaker and Attorney-General; and the 'Repeal of Redundancy Act', which gutted a range of outdated and unenforced rules.

Farosh began his Presidency on January 19, 2025, aiming to fulfill campaign promises. The first landmark achievement was the Library of Cascadia Act, establishing Cascadia's equivalent to the Library of Congress. The act focused on the establishment of an independent institution designed to archive Cascadian history, media, and knowledge in wake of the 7/23 Discord nuking during the Great American War. Farosh appointed SergioTheCrafter as the first Librarian, tasking him with developing a website to host the archives. However, despite initially being a popular concept, the Library failed to coalesce as hoped, as there was a lack of donations or interest during a broader downturn in Cascadian activity. Vice President Xeocas led additional reforms, such as the Educate Act II, which simplified the University of Cascadia (UCAS). However, it was superseded by the Educate Act III, passed on June 24, 2025. Farosh's administration also advanced significant legal reform with the Major Crimes Act, which defined a wide range of criminal offences and punishments, cementing its place as a cornerstone of Cascadian law, as promised on the campaign trail. Farosh also signed a total of 7 Redundancy Acts, which repealed several old laws in an effort to cut bureaucracy and red tape.
Despite a few legislative achievements, the 30th Legislature was largely defined by stagnation and the lack of innovation, which was further confounded by the inactivity of the Presidential administration. Aside from the continual efforts of Farosh and Xeocas, much of the government remained dormant, with few new initiatives being offered by cabinet secretaries or officials. This period saw a major decline in community engagement and growth in Cascadia, dubbed the 'Brain Drain'.
Brain Drain
During the winter months of January and February, EMC as a whole would experience a natural downturn in activity and engagement, which was also felt in Cascadia. However, beginning near the end of 4Whatok's Presidency, many high profile Cascadian politicians began to leave the nation. A significant number of Arcadians, who had joined Cascadia from Havaiki during the Great American War, returned to their former homeland with the intent of reviving their dormant nation. Among those who left were politicians such as former Vice President and then-Secretary of the Interior, FieryMatter, former President Dracnoian, and other prominent politicians. As the Arcadians left, so too did their holders, causing a major shortage of mayors who could keep Cascadian towns safe in the face of the threat still posed by California or Illinois. On February 16th during the Cascadian General Election of the same month, Vice President Xeocas also left, joining the Arcadians in Havaiki.
In the Great North, the trend continued, as many political hopefuls and active players, such as Kipiscute, Sekhnmet, Shadowcipher, and Akirarocks also left Cascadia or joined Alaska, beginning a period of decline and low morale. This exodus was also accompanied by the sale of several northern towns to Alaska, including the transfer of Juneau, Kiawock, and others. Mass migration and territorial shifts would eventually set the stage for Cascadian-Alaskan tensions, which would eventually blow over during Farosh's second term as President, exacerbated by Denali and former long-time enemy of Cascadia, the Rocky Mountain Federation, who were fighting Alaska for territorial domination.
With the inactivity of many cabinet officials, Farosh was forced to reshuffle his cabinet when he ran for re-election in February. The position of Treasurer would see four occupants during his tenure following the resignation of long-time incumbent, RAWRyoutube, who was originally appointed by President Raptormm4 in May 2024. RAWR would step down due to burnout, promising to return in the summer. After appointing WrestlingWithGod and Setrus to the position, the bank would see no meaningful growth. This stagnation began a period of economic decline and depression, as gold would be spent on fighting California. On February 26, Farosh appointed EmpressCorgo as Treasurer. Previously serving in the position in 2023 and early 2024, Corgo brought experience to the role, working diligently to restore economic growth. Her efforts garnered wider support, earning her reappointment by each of Farosh's successors, HawaiianDPG, Moxicodone, and Capitanfra.

March 2025 Cascadia General Election
When he was first elected, President Farosh_ had made it clear that he had no intentions to run for a third term as President of Cascadia. Before the March 2025 Presidential Debate on 13th March, President Farosh_ delivered his farewell address to the nation, stating that he would retire and only consider returning to Cascadian politics if he had ideas 'he wanted to share'. He emphasised that public office is a purpose - not an entitlement, distancing himself from influential politicians who continue to stay active in politics long after their terms as President.
During the March 2025 General Election, both of Farosh_'s Vice Presidents ran for President. To avoid controversy, he maintained a low profile and voted as a private citizen.
He did not run for re-election in the March election, and was succeeded by incumbent Vice President HawaiianDPG. He has since taken up a career as the Librarian of Cascadia.
