General elections will be held on March 16, 2025 in Cascadia to elect the President, Public Advocate, and all 15 seats in the 32nd House of Representatives, alongside retention referendums for the Supreme Court.

President Farosh_, who was first elected at the January 2025 presidential election, and re-elected in February 2025, has announced his intent to not seek a third term. Three candidates have announced their campaigns for President, including sitting Vice President HawaiianDPG, and former vice presidents Capitanfra and Xeocas.

A presidential debate will be held on March 13.

Electoral system

President & Public Advocate

The President of Cascadia is elected by Instant Runoff Voting when there are more than two candidates being on the ballot. In this system, voters complete a closed ballot on google forms, numbering candidates 1, 2, 3, etc. in order of their preference. The voting period lasts for roughly twenty four hours, however this may be a tiny bit more. Voters may mark as many or as few preferences as they wish. Each ballot is initially credited to its first-preference candidate but may be transferred on later counts to the next available preference where the first preference candidate is elected or eliminated.

This system is also used in elections for Public Advocate. Voters must verify their vote in an #i-voted channel to ensure election security.

House of Representatives

Members of the House of Representatives are elected by single transferable vote (STV) from 4 constituencies with between three and five seats.

This was the inaugural election for the constituency. It consisted of most of the former East constituency, plus northern parts of the former Northwest constituency. It was the most rural constituency. 5 candidates contested the 4 seats allocated to the district. Of these five, two were incumbents, with East representative shattered2907 of Spokane contesting re-election, as well as Northwest representative CatPerson136 of Bend.

It was largely a victory for non-incumbents, with Defense Secretary shattered2907 losing re-election, and newcomers winning 3 of the 4 seats in the district, with only CatPerson136 retaining their seat.

Victorious newcomers jtwokay of Spokane, and PCRCKR of Hope Island, who tied in topping the polls in this district, would go on to be appointed Treasurer and Secretary of the Interior respectively in the cabinet of incoming governor ViolentVampire.
